Hanseatic LifeScience Consulting specializes in the digital transformation of regulated manufacturing processes across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device operations.
We work under one belief: the life sciences industry is extraordinary, but decades of self-inflicted complexity have made it slower and costlier than it needs to be. The operations aren't bad — they're over-complicated. We exist to change that.

We say what we think, even when it costs us.
No consulting theatre. If the honest answer risks the relationship, we give it anyway. Clients work with us because we don't just agree.
Process first. Digitisation second.
Digitising a bad process gives you a bad digital process — faster and pricier. We fix the process first, and say so when the right answer is less technology, not more.
We know pharma processes by heart.
Deep MES and GxP expertise, carried by senior people who've done the work themselves — never delegated to juniors. This is what makes our honesty worth something.

A time we said don't
A client was implementing an MES across their visual inspection department and wanted it to cover all shopfloor activities — including digitising complex error classification sheets that varied by product, carried three error classes, and ran simultaneously across more than twenty workstations.
We advised early that the logic was too complex for the tool. The client pushed back. So we ran structured load tests with their IT team, watched the servers, and scaled the hardware. It didn't help enough. The cost and complexity of making the MES do something it wasn't built for exceeded any benefit.
We recommended going live on paper and helped the client select a purpose-built solution separately. Not the answer anyone wanted — but the right one.
